Claire and Donna have known each other for more than 15 years, working in social services in the same local authority. Their passion for change and determination to make a difference brought them together.

They improved service outcomes in the authority by creating and implementing a unique program for the children they supported. It was a huge success, winning a Health and Wellbeing Award in the authority and being runner up for the Young People’s Project Of The Year at the Herald Society Awards. Most importantly, it made a difference to the children it was designed for.

Keeping children at heart of everything they do is of upmost importance to them. They knew that more had to be done. They recognised the barriers for children and young people accessing existing mental health provision. They both had the desire, knowledge and expertise to make a real difference to all children and young people. That passion and determination has lead them to create The Calm Chameleon.

For us, it has always been about the children and young people. We love working with each and every one of them, they have helped shape who we are today. We want to help shape their future and create a legacy where they are valued, supported, respected, heard, and feel safe to thrive in the world.
