Tension and Trauma Release Exercises (TRE®) are a simple, innovative set of exercises that help invoke a neurogenic tremor in the body to help release deeply held stress, tension and trauma.  It’s a body based, non-talking therapy which means that you do not have to re-experience any trauma through recall or revisiting a difficult event in your life.

We find TRE® is particularly effective with children over 7, or children who find it difficult to articulate their feelings, when integrated with other treatment modalities.

Stress, tension, and anxiety are accumulated from everyday life circumstances. Current pressures on families and children can put the delicate balance of the sympathetic nervous system (designed to keep you alive near danger) and the parasympathetic nervous system (designed to restore and relax) out of sync.

If you find that your constantly reacting to every day circumstances in a stressful manner, it could be a warning sign that your sympathetic and parasympathetic systems are not working properly together. TRE® can support you to readdress that balance.

In TRE® you are in control of the process which will be taught to you by our certified TRE® providers.
